Colorado Mesa University eSports found its origins as a student club starting in the Spring of 2015. From there, the club grew to the point of popularity and competitive level that eSports was upgraded to a club sport in the Spring of 2018.

With increased interest in a collegiate competitive eSports culture on campus by students, with support from Colorado Mesa administration, the CMU eSports arena officially opened in the Spring of 2020. The arena features a dedicated space complete with 30 gaming computers, two streaming computers and two media viewing areas for eSports teams. Arena Computers are installed with games approved for competitive play on campus.
esports arena    Colorado Mesa eSports has expanded from humble beginnings of only one team of League of Legends. We have grown to expand and support six teams and are always looking to grow. Teams include both arena and virtual teams.

CMU eSports works to foster a competitive and inclusive environment focused on building positive community for both gamers and non-gamers alike.

Players of any skill level are encouraged to join CMU eSports. We have a supportive community of gamers and support staff who are happy to help players new to gaming and provide an environment of growth both in and out of game for both new and old players.
